Mercedes-Benz, Immortal Love

The film started with a simple prompt: A woman comes home to a surprise birthday party but the biggest surprise is for the audience - she’s a vampire hundreds of years old and so are all her friends! From there, Sebastian let his imagination run wild. With us and agency antoni behind him, Strasser fleshed out a storyworld of Shakespearean-level drama and intricate design. Much like the G-Class, these vampires had lived through several eras, and seen much more of the world than many. The costuming is completely eclectic with touches of different places and epochs, and ties them together with classic vampire iconography. Music and sound design take on different influences too, taking notes from opera to traditional African music - with input from artists of completely different backgrounds. This, mixed with fantastic locations, cinematography as thrilling as the film’s off-terrain car chases, and a carefully-paced cut made to draw blood - there are many singular words you can associate this campaign with. Clearly, for Sebastian and Mercedes-Benz, it was ‘Legacy’.
