Nina Holmgren

Nina Holmgren is a Danish filmmaker.

Her unique background in fine art and as a former champion athlete comes through effortlessly. Nina’s never afraid of mixing art forms or pushing boundaries by using all of the filmmaking tools at her disposal. Her work is contemporary, she has a remarkable eye combining storytelling and aesthetic expression creating her own heightened surreality.

Nina established herself as a powerful and sought after voice in filmmaking, winning D&AD’s Best New Director and AICP’s Best Visual Style, and awarded at Cannes Lions.

Her first short film “I Want You to Panic” commissioned by NOWNESS, is an artistic exploration of the indifference towards the climate crisis, which led to her winning Gold at the Young Directors Awards at Cannes Lions.

Nina has worked with some of the most renowned brands across both the fashion and advertising industries, including Mercedes-Benz, Adidas, Beats By Dre and Vogue. Her work included worked with some of the most famed talent, including Vince Staples, Lionel Messi, Naomi Osaka, Kaia Gerber, Karim Benzema, and Stormzy.

Nina lives in Copenhagen.
